Around 2:30, police says they were contacted by St. Francis School after a man – aged 18 to 20 years – approached a staff member outside the school and asked if they’d call police, saying he was injured.
According to a police spokesperson, the man didn’t appear to be injured and left the area.
Regina Police Service was contacted and, as a precaution, the school staff enacted its secure the building protocol.
School Resource officers were stationed at the school and a nearby Public elementary school and patrol members set upin the area, however no one was located.
The officers remained at the schools to oversee their regular end-of-day dismissal.
A nearby Public school did not enact the protocol.
