The round-robin is over at the Viterra Scotties in Melville and there are 5 rinks left in the quest to be the 2017 Saskatchewan women’s curling champion.
Robyn Silvernagle of North Battleford finished first after round-robin play Friday with a record of 7-1 after beating Stefanie Lawton 8-2 in the last draw Friday night. Lawton finishes 2nd at 6-2 and will meet Silvernagle again in the 1 vs 2 game Saturday.
Nancy Martin of Saskatoon finished 3rd with a record of 5-3 and will play either Penny Barker of Moose Jaw or Brett Barber of Biggar as both finished 4-4 and will play in a tiebreaker Saturday at 2.
The final goes Sunday at 5 with the winner advancing to the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in St. Catherines, Ontario.
