Steve Laycock’s Saskatoon rink are looking good as they try to win the Saskatchewan men’s curling title for a fourth straight year.
Laycock needed an extra end to beat Regina’s Adam Casey 6-5 in the “A” event final of the SaskTel Tankard in Tisdale to become the first of four playoff teams on Friday afternoon.
Laycock will meet either Casey or Kody Hartung in the 1 vs 2 game Saturday night. Casey and Hartung will meet at 9 AM Saturday morning to determine who gets that spot.
The provincial final is Sunday afternoon with the winner heading to the Tim Hortons Brier in St. John’s Newfoundland.
