The man accused of fatally shooting Saskatchewan Roughrider Joe McKnight has formally pleaded not guilty to a second-degree murder charge.
55 year old Ronald Gasser had initially been charged with manslaughter after the December 1 incident, but had the charge upgraded last week.

Gasser and McKnight were involved in some kind of road rage incident that ended at an intersection when McKnight got out of his car to confront Gasser who pulled a gun out and shot him three times while remaining in his vehicle.
