The Saskatchewan NDP is once again expressing frustration over the fact they can’t get answers on the GTH scandal because Saskparty MLA’s on the Standing Committee on Public Accounts won’t allow it.
Discussions on the matter were shut down during a meeting Monday. Sask Party MLA Larry Doke is a co-chair on that committee.
He says this issue has been dealt with by the provincial auditor which the NDP is fully aware of.
NDP MLA Cathy Sproule says what is needed is an appearance by deputy minister of the economy Laurie Pushor in front of the committee, but the Saskatchewan Party is reluctant to do that.
She says Saskatchewan taxpayers deserve answers as to why 11-million dollars from the people of Saskatchewan went into the pockets of two Sask Party supporters.
