Well, it looks like today’s the day. I’ve been putting it off until things cooled down a bit and there wasn’t a lot of mud and slush flying around. Yup, today’s the day I wash my vehicle.
It’s been a long time coming. I can’t remember the last time I rolled my four wheels into a wash bay for a good old fashioned soaking. Around Christmastime I ran into a guy I know at the drug store and he asked me when I planned on washing my vehicle. I told him washing my vehicle certainly wasn’t a priority. He looked at me like I had a screw loose. Well, a clean vehicle has moved up a spot or two on my priority list.
I’ll go to the same spot I always go to, and for the life of me I have no idea why. Every time I go there something always seems to go wrong.
I’ve been there on a few occasions when there’s been hardly any soap in the machine. I’ll go to wash my vehicle and just a trickle of soap will come out. One time I complained and the girl told me to go to a different stall. Number one, I already had money invested in this particular stall and number two, there was a car behind me, and his system was working just fine.
Another time I went to use the brush, but that wasn’t working either. There was no soap and water coming out of the end of the brush. Same lady, same solution. Go to another stall! I don’t want to go to another stall.
That’s the kind of luck I’ve had all my life. There could be ten wash stalls. Nine could be working beautifully and I’ll end up in the one that isn’t working at all.
If all goes well, this time tomorrow morning I’ll have the cleanest vehicle parked in front of the radio station. That is, as long as I don’t have to switch stalls at the car wash this afternoon!
