The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 001 had their elections last night! Guess who’s on the Executive Board.
I know, I have a few other things on the table. What’s one more.
There are a lot of exciting things coming up for the new board to manage and in turn drum up some new members.
The Branch is home to a very extensive collection of artifacts that are coming together nicely for the opening of the Museum.
This event takes place April 8th and 9th. The committee has been working at the collection and pulling from it items that best represent a specific time frame in Canadian Military History.
Many Canadians have visited Vimy Ridge and that April weekend will be a celebration of the Canadian Mission from 1917.
An invitation is extended to you to stop by the Legion any day for lunch or a cold beverage – the Vimy Lounge and the Dieppe Café located at 1820 Cornwall Street.
Memberships are only $50.
Since becoming a member, I have met some fantastic new friends that have great stories to share, we support those serving in our military currently as well as cadets and our veterans. Volunteers are appreciated. Members are valued!
Stop by Cabela’s at Grasslands in Harbour Landing this weekend to find out more about the Royal Canadian Legion. It’s Hometown Heroes Appreciation Days for the military, veterans, law enforcement, firefighters, conservation officers, EMS personnel plus Canadian Coast Guards . With identification employee discounts will be applied.
