There are reports former NFL quarterback Vince Young is in Regina as his agent is finalizing contract details.
Leigh Steinberg is expected in Regina to dot the “I’s” and cross the “T’s” with an official announcement coming at a news conference which could come as early as Thursday.
The 34-year old Young, has not played a game of football since the 2011 season with him retiring from the NFL in 2014.
Young enjoyed a banner career at Texas, leading the Longhorns to an NCAA championship in the 2006 Rose Bowl over USC in a game some believe is the best US college football game ever played.
He was drafted third overall by Tennessee that year and went on to become the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year and earn a Pro Bowl selection.
He went to the Pro Bowl again following the 2009 season.
