The University of Regina’s women’s basketball team wasn’t able to overcome hot perimeter shooting by McGill on Thursday night as the Martlets won 72-62 in a U SPORTS Championship quarterfinal in Victoria.
Katie Polischuk led Regina in scoring with 17 points, but struggled from long distance hitting on only 2 of 8 three point attempts.
While Regina was 4 for 16 in three point attempts, McGill was 10 for 19.
Regina will now either play Carleton or the host Victoria team in a consolation semi-final Friday.
Those two teams were playing in the late game Thursday night.
