A Regina man is facing child pornography charges, after a Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit investigation led police to his home on Wednesday morning.
On Jan. 15, the ICE Unit discovered Evan Piche, 27, was downloading and sharing child pornography videos and photos.
Further investigation identified Piche’s Regina residence as the location where the child pornography offences were occurring.
On Wednesday, during a search warrant of his home, the ICE Unit located evidence related to the possession and sharing of child pornography on Piche’s computer.
He was then arrested, charged and held in custody.
Piche has been charged with possession of child pornography and making child pornography available to others.
He appeared in Regina provincial court on Thursday morning, where he was remanded for a show-cause hearing on March 15 at 2 p.m.
