Saskatchewan feeder cattle prices were mainly higher during the past week.
The weekly cattle market update from the Saskatchewan ministry of Agriculture says feeder steer prices were up as much as 5 dollars 67 cents per hundredweight.
The biggest gain was in the 300 to 400 pound category.
Benchmark 500 to 600 pound steers rose 2 dollars 60 cents to average 205 dollars per hundredweight.
Feeder heifers were higher in all weight categories rising as much as 6 dollars 91 cents per hundredweight.
Marketings were almost 11 thousand head, a drop from almost 17 thousand the previous week.
The price of D1, D2 slaughter cows rose 1 dollar 55 cents to average 99 dollars 25 cents per hundredweight.
The price of D3 slaughter cows jumped 3 dollars 90 cents to average 89.90 per hundredweight.
