The Saskatchewan Roughriders are not commenting on a Winnipeg Free Press story stating one of their players is facing drug trafficking charges.
The Free Press is reporting Jordan Reaves is accused of possession of cocaine for trafficking. He has been on bail since the arrest was made early last year.
Reaves played for the team last season while on bail.
In a statement released this morning, the club says they were disappointed to learn of the legal situation and since being informed yesterday of it, Reaves has been open and co-operative while maintaining his innocence.
The 27 year old Winnipeg product played in five games for the team last year and earlier this year signed a contract for the upcoming season.
