Regina Police say it was necessary to cordon off a residential street after a report firearms may have been in the home.
Shortly after 10:00 Thursday night, Regina police say they were called to the Regina General Hospital for a report of a weapons-related assault.
A man had entered the emergency room with injuries and it was determined he had been forcibly confined and assaulted.
Shortly after the report, the investigation led to a house on the 700 block of Elphinstone Street.
Early Friday morning, Police took three women and a man into custody — however more suspects remained inside.
A SWAT team worked on getting the suspects out of the house and at one point, tear-gas was deployed inside.
Around 7:10 a.m., a man and a woman were taken into custody.
Police are still holding the house for their investigation.
