CFL week is an opportunity to learn about the game and the stars of it.
With 60 CFL players making an appearance at Regina’s Evraz Place this week, people will also get an opportunity to see what they are like away from the game.
Tuesday and Wednesday, students from all over the Queen City have been taking part in the first-ever CFL Respect Camp.
Roughriders Linebacker Henoc Muamba is one of the players speaking to students about the importance of building a healthy community.
Muamba says he was happy to see the message they spoke on resinating with the kids.
“There’s a lot of energy in the air,” says Muamba. “There’s a great atmosphere and you can tell the kids are really excited. Not only to see us, but to share some time together. It’s awesome. They’ve really been receptive.”
Over 600 students will have taken part in the Camp.
