A lone unmarked police car remained on the scene Thursday morning at Saskatoon’s provincial court house.
Fire-scene tape cordons off the alley to the back of the courthouse as well as an area around the courthouse right at the corner of 3rd Avenue South and 19th Street.
That’s where an I-E-D, or improvised explosive device, detonated Wednesday night at the courthouse.
No one was injured in the blast but there is damage to the sidewalk and front of the building. The call came in just after 11 p.m. Wednesday night.
Members of the Saskatoon police force’s Explosive Disposal Unit were on scene as well as a bomb-detection-trained dog unit. But emergency crews other than one police cruiser, have returned to base.
No arrests have been made and anyone with information is asked to contact the Saskatoon Police or Crimestoppers.
