Saturday marks the start of SGI’s April traffic safety focus for the month — with the target: vulnerable road users. It’s called #LookOutSaskatchewan
Tyler McMurchy with the provincial insurance company says that includes pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists not following rules of the road.
“And vehicles not yielding to those vulnerable road-users,” says McMurchy. “Or making unsafe lane-changes, or motorcyles driving without due care and attention.”
In 2015, 20 people classified as vulnerable road users were killed and 536 injured in Saskatchewan.
