The NDP is raising concern about cuts to school boards in the provincial budget.
Opposition critic Carla Beck says the Regina school board has been forced to reduce some important programs due to budget cuts.
She says the Regina school board has been forced to cut pre-Kindergarten programs for kids with autism, hearing problems and those who have had profound trauma and neglect.
Education minister Don Morgan says the province has substantially increased funding for school boards for pre-kindergarten services.
He says the school board is phasing out programs not covered by the province and he wants to have some discussions with the school board on the issue.
