There is a shift into “healthy living” in our midst.
The radio station has transformed! We have people getting healthy and as I write this I have already had a few Girl Guide cookies, a turkey bun AND a piece of flapper pie. Its 10:25am.
I am now working on a kale salad! Good Grief.
There would be a technical term for this that only I could understand – that is front loading – I tend to consume most calories in the early part of the day.
When you are up at 3:30 – 4am, you are ready for a steak sandwich at 10:30!
Usually, I bring yogurt with bran and some berries. The protein carries thru to lunch time.
I know, I need more protein, I need more veggies and fruit.
Why is it so damn easy to indulge in the sweet things in life!
Easter is now finished, I am officially over eating the things that include sugar, flour and coca. I will no longer eat orange food – except carrots!
And since I made a purchase of a baseball inspired container I know I’m drinking 16 oz of water every 90 minutes in the morning. If not more!! I gotta pee!
I am inspired by two guys in our office who are working hard at putting fitness and healthy eating into their daily routine.
Walking to work is a great way to start the day, but keeping the movement going and incorporating some other activities is a must. I used to do it, so what’s stopping me at this time.
Ultimately, the buddy system helps. Knowing that someone else is looking forward to going for a walk, bike ride or another activity is helpful.
Right now an activity that I should be knee deep in is clearing up my mom’s apartment. There is so much stuff that needs to be sifted through. Why? Because it means something to her. Olive’s memories are very vivid of the items that were gifted to or purchased by her or our dad.
On that note, I will re-set and once again work on the elimination of all things snack related. Keep a firm eye on the prize and realize that 10 pounds can be gone by using focus and hard work. There is also feeling free of clutter and getting solid rest too. The combination of all things should be fun, not a burdened task!
Imagine carrying a big bag of flour every day, every where! Isn’t it strange to picture weight as a thing that normally sits on a shelf sitting on your hips, your gut, your butt, arms or legs! GET RID OF IT .. NOW!
I’m 10 years older and less active than I was, but I should be wiser. Time to AMP IT UP!
Who re-introduced my taste buds to certain things in the first place … that’s not cool! Oh wait, it must have been me!
Eat healthy. Keep active. Focus on what’s important to your life. See results. Remember, its hard work but your mind and body will thank you! Just say “NO!” and keep walking.
Support from friends, family and strangers is important! Keep that in mind too.
