Feeder cattle prices across Saskatchewan were moving upward during the past week.
Provincial cattle specialist Kim McLean says benchmark 500 to 600 pound feeder steers were up 2 dollars 80 cents to average 221 dollars 70 cents per hundredweight.
Feeder steers were up as much as 4 dollars per hundredweight in the heavier weight category.
Feeder heifers were also steady to higher.
Marketings were over 15 thousand cattle, a drop of two thousand head from the week before.
The price of D1, D2 slaughter cows rose one dollar 3 cents to average 106 dollars 13 cents per hundredweight.
The price of D3 slaughter cows increased 4 dollars 65 cents to average 96 dollars 25 cents.
