Curling Canada has announced 14 of the 16 teams which will gather in Ottawa this December for the Olympic Curling Trials.
On the women’s side, one of the seven is Regina’s Michelle Englot who will once again be skipping her Winnipeg team that got to the finals of the 2017 Scotties Tournament of Hearts before losing to eventual World Champion Rachel Homan.
On the men’s side, Saskatoon’s Steve Laycock will take part. Laycock is a six-time provincial champ with three of those coming as skip.
The complete field will be rounded out after the November 6-12 Road to the Roar Pre-Trials at Credit Union Place in Summerside, P.E.I.
Two men’s teams and two women’s teams from that 24-team field will qualify for the Olympic Trials.
