Kinder Morgan has announced it will source over 250-thousand metric tonnes of pipe from Evraz in Regina.
It’s for their Trans Mountain Project which will run through BC.
Economy minister Jeremy Harrison says the West Coast pipeline project will create many jobs in Regina.
“This is a 7.4-billion dollar project,” said Harrison Wednesday in the Saskatchewan Legislature. “37-thousand jobs that are going to be created over the course of the project. There is great support from this side of the house. I have to say there’s support in Alberta as well.”

Harrison is calling on the Saskatchewan NDP to push their B.C. counterparts to also support the pipeline project.
Evraz is a leading producer of engineered steel products for rail, energy and industrial-end markets.
Evraz Regina is the largest steel company in western Canada.
