Drivers should consider alternate routes on Monday, May 8 — there will be two significant road projects beginning:
- Rochdale Boulevard between Argyle Street North and Elgaard Drive. Rochdale Boulevard will be restricted to one lane in each direction for two weeks.
- Sangster Boulevard between Pasqua Gate East and Garuik Crescent. Sangster Boulevard southbound will be closed and northbound will be restricted to one lane for three days depending on weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Also, drivers and pedestrians will want to consider alternate routes as crews will be completing sidewalk, curb and gutter improvement work on Broad Street between 15th Avenue and Broadway Avenue. Construction is expected to take 10 weeks to complete, depending on weather and unforeseen circumstances.
Two-way traffic will be maintained during the construction. There will be no parking on the construction side of the street and the sidewalk will not be accessible within the construction zone. Business access will always be maintained for customers.
Transit routes may be affected; riders are encouraged to check with Regina Transit for bus stop location changes.
Drivers are reminded to slow down in construction zones and to consider alternate routes to avoid construction.
