Alyscia Kaufmann, whose husband Tanner was killed on a rural road just outside of Regina, says there isn’t a day that goes by where she doesn’t feel the pain caused by someone’s terrible decision – and she hopes the commercial saves another family from going through the same thing.
“I feel when you see this ad and hear these words, how could you not? How could you willingly get behind the wheel and drive impaired if you see the real, true impact of the loss,” she said.
“I hope this is going to change the mentality, but only time will tell,” she added.
Minister Responsible for SGI Joe Hargrave says he hopes the fact the commercial has real photos of real people and not actors, means the message will finally hit home for some.
