Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the southwest part of the province.
Thunderstorms are developing over northern Montana Friday afternoon and are moving north towards the international border. Thunderstorms are expected to move into the Cypress Hills and southwest Saskatchewan late in the afternoon or early in the evening.
Some of these storms may be severe with damaging wind gusts of 90-100 km/h as well as nickel size hail.
The severe weather threat will diminish later this evening.
