Happy Monday morning! I hope all moms had a wonderful Mother’s Day and got treated royally!
Last Wednesday, before my wife made her way to work, she was playing with Max when she noticed something silvery on his side. Closer inspection found that the vet had failed to removed one of the 30 staples from his side after the operation.
Hey, no problem. I called down to the vet and was told to bring Max down. Removing the staple would take seconds. So, Thursday, before making our way to the dog park, we headed over to get the problem taken care of. Max does not like that place one bit. He must remember what happened last time he was there!
When we got to the got there we grabbed a seat in the waiting room. There were five other dogs in front of us, but I was told it was such a quick and easy procedure that someone would take care of us right away. Suddenly, someone came out to the receptionists desk and said there was an emergency in the back. The receptionist let all of us in the waiting room know that all appointments would have to be put on hold. I don’t know what the emergency was, but we were informed there would be at least an hour wait before things got back to normal. Seeing as Max could go another day with a staple in his side, I decided we would go to the park and come back the next day. Max couldn’t get out of that place quickly enough.
So, on Friday morning after work, we made our way back to the animal clinic. This time things went a whole lot quicker. There were only two dogs waiting to see the vet. We were sitting there when a pleasant young lady came out with a staple remover and removed the staple right there in the waiting room. It took her a grand total of about 2 seconds to remove that darn thing.
After that, it was off to the dog park for a good Friday morning run!
