Expect plenty of police presence in Regina this long weekend.
Regina Police say they will be out in full-force over the long weekend targetting drunk and agressive driving.
Thngs got going quickly Friday night according to Constable Warnar of the Regina Police Service.
His tweets throughout the evening, while perhaps entertaining, pointed to drivers who simply had no problem breaking the law.
Warnar’s first tweet showed some people’s disregard for the law:
“Cat Longhurst just got our first impaired arrest. Driver cracked a beer while leaving an off sale.”
Warnar also posted: “Another fail on a roadside screening device for a driver leaving a pub. In cells waiting for the breath test.”
He also posted during the evening of yet another driver getting nabbed: “Another impaired driver off the road. One of our IDET units had a driver blow a FAIL on a roadside screening device.”
