If your long weekend Sunday is wide-open, take a drive to Eastend, Sask.
Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Ken Cheveldayoff says there’s a particular pride in one, very old, resident in Eastend.
It’s Scotty — arguably the world’s largest T-Rex and it’s the pride of the Royal Saskatchewan Museum.
“it’s an excellent learning experience for kids and adults alike,” said Cheveldayoff. “There’s various tours and presentations and a great experience for everyone.”
Cheveldayoff says the Royal Saskatchewan Museum in Eastend has become quite a popular destination.
“It hosts Saskatchewan’s most-famous dinosaur,”said Cheveldayoff. “We’re really excited about this and trying to get everyone to put Scotty into their travel plans.”
The facility shows off Saskatchewan’s marine reptiles, prehistoric mammals and impressive dinosaurs including Scotty.
