The Regina Police Service say 23-year old Cheyna Peigan will be court Tuesday charged with manslaughter after a man was found seriously injured Saturday morning on Albert Street.
19-year old Andrew Pasap was transported to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
It happened just before 2:30 Saturday morning — police received a call of an injured male in the 800 block of Albert Street.
Police brought in additional resources, including Forensic Identification, Major Crimes Unit, as well as the Coroner.
Pasap was active member within Regina’s Brazilian Jiu Jitsu circles.
He won the 2014 double gold at the CopaSask, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Submission Wrestling tournament.
According to a Facebook post, there will be a prayer ceremony and candle-light vigil for Pasap on Thursday
