The Regina Humane Society is reminding those out and about with pets to be mindful of food and objects left laying around after a disturbing video was posted on Facebook Tuesday.
A Regina woman claims she was taking her pets outside to relieve themselves when she found a hot dog with what appears to be razor blades inside it.
The woman posted a video of the object to Facebook.
In her post she says she found the object in her yard on 6th and Queen, and asks all neighbors to be on the lookout.
No animals were harmed, however Regina Police have been notified of the incident.
Bill Thorn with the Regina Humane Society says it can be difficult to determine a motive in cases such as this.
“If it’s just sort of a random thing it can be very very difficult to track down, I’ve heard of things not even necessarily in Regina but similar things where it could be a neighbor dispute or mental health issues can play in as well, where people are doing something and are not really aware of the consequences,” Thorn told 620 CKRM.
No animals were reported to be harmed in the incident.
