There was good seeding progress across much of the Saskatchewan grainbelt during the long weekend.
And, as Weyburn regional crop specialist Sherri Roberts says, the southeast is among the most advanced areas for seeding.
Seeding was at 60 percent last week and this week Roberts estimates it at about 75 percent.
She says there was some frost last week but damage should be minimal.
“We’re hoping we didn’t see any damage from it,”said Roberts. “If some producers did experience some frost, just be patient and see what happens.”
Roberts believes seeding should wrap up in early June in the southeast.
