Regina city officials are hoping an updated list of attractions will help bolster travelers into this city, as Tourism Week 2017 draws ever closer.
Starting Sunday, and running until June 3rd, a plethora of events are slated to take place around the Queen City, including a pair of new interactive initiatives at the RCMP Heritage Centre.
Mayor Michael Fougere says the Heritage Centre isn’t the only attraction in the city turning heads, though.
“Just on the stadium alone, that has increased the profile of the city recently,” said Fougere. “We’re seeing good things happening, so we should see more tourism here and the more tourism, the better.”
On average, the city sees about $300 million raised for the local economy from tourism alone.
