SaskPower crews have been trying to determine what caused an outage earlier this Thursday morning in Regina’s north and east ends.
Jonathan Tremblay with SaskPower says the outage affected three substations — which are responsible for bringing the power to homes and businesses.
“It affected the east, the north, the northwest and parts of downtown,”said Temblay. “We were able to do some switching to bring back power to downtown, so areas like Cornwall and Hill Tower 3 are back on, but we’re still trying to investigate the cause.”
Tremblay says crews are investigating transmission lines throughout the city in order to identify what caused such a large power outage.
