SaskPower has closed cash counters in Regina, Saskatoon, Yorkton and North Battleford.
Residents in these cities will no longer be able to pay their power bills in person.
Over the last decade SaskPower Spokeswoman Laura McKnight says they have seen a significant shift away from people paying their power bill in person.
McKnight says online accounts are quickly becoming more and more popular.
“There are a few alternatives customers can use,” suggested McKnight. “Sign up for an online account where customers can manage their accounts that way.”
However SaskPower will not be closing its cash counter in Prince Albert, saying many residents there are still paying for power in person.
