Today after work I’ll have to stop by the hardware store a grab a bottle of windshield washer fluid. Every morning before work I spend a good thirty seconds soaking my windshield with fluid to clean off the gunk that has accumulated overnight. Believe it or not, it’s a common occurrence.
Every year at this time our vehicles get covered in some kind of crap that falls from the big trees we have in front of our house. We usually have the same problem when cankerworms are thriving, but I haven’t noticed many of those little critters this year. The city has been warning us that cankerworms will be abundant this year, but I can count on one hand the number of cankerworms I’ve seen so far.
Whatever falls from our trees gets all over our vehicles and it looks terrible. If I was to wash my vehicle one day, you wouldn’t be able to tell by the next day, making washing it an exercise in futility. All I can really do on a daily basis is make sure my windshield is nice and clean, or as clean as it can be. People probably pull up next to me at a light and think to themselves, “Hey, wash your vehicle pal. Are you blind or something?”
It makes a guy want to chop down every tree on his property.
