Feeder cattle prices across Saskatchewan were moving downward during the past week.
Provincial livestock economist Brad Marceniuk says feeder steers were down on average about two dollars per hundredweight.
But by contrast, he says Alberta feeder steers rose two to three dollars per hundredweight.
Benchmark 500 to 600 pound feeder steers in Saskatchewan last week averaged 251 dollars 83 cents per hundredweight, down one dollar 5 cents.
Feeder heifer prices were mixed according to the figures provided by Canfax.
Meantime, the price of D1, D2 slaughter cows fell 17 cents per hundredweight to average 111 dollars 63 cents.
The price of D3 slaughter cows fell one dollar 17 cents to average 98 dollars 50 cents per hundredweight.
