Tanner Kaufmann and his dog were both killed just north of Regina last September
Colby Heid, the man responsible for killing 37-year-old Tanner Kaufmann last year has pleaded guilty to driving over the legal limit causing an accident, resulting in death.
Heid who was 19 at the time of the crash, was three times over the legal alcohol limit when the vehicle he was driving slammed into Kaufmann’s truck killing him and his dog last September.
The two were out for an evening walk on a grid road just north of Regina at the time of the crash.
Heid now 20, was sentenced to three years in jail.
