The 40th Canada Farm Progress Show was officially kicked off in Regina on Tuesday night, in what organizers are hoping will be another half-billion dollar venture for the businesses and entrepreneurs involved.
Agriculture Minister Lyle Stewart — one of many keynote speakers at the event at the new Mosaic Stadium — says it’s more than just the city of Regina which enjoys the benefits of the technological and financial windfall of the biggest show of it’s kind.
“It’s a great economic opportunity,” Stewart said after the opening ceremonies. “Not to mention the economic opportunity for this city and southern Saskatchewan, with all the guests we get.
The Farm Progress Show runs from June 21st-23rd at Evraz Place.
