Seven people are facing drug- and weapon-related charges following a three-day investigation led by Regina and Saskatoon police.
According to police, it started on Wednesday when three people in Saskatoon were pulled over, arrested and charged by members of the Regina Police Service Drug Unit and the Saskatoon Police Service. During the traffic stop, officers also seized a “substantial amount” of cash.
Later that day, police searched five homes in Regina. Six people were arrested in the process with three men being charged with a number of drug-related offences.
A seventh man was taken into custody on Friday when another home was searched.
Cash, cocaine, marijuana, a gun, ammunition and drug paraphenelia were uncovered during the investigation.
