Organizers of Country Thunder Saskatchewan have now released details on the final piece of what has, indeed, been a massive undertaking.
Gerry Krochak, director of marketing and media relations with Country Thunder, says 68,000 square feet of Main Street has been freshly paved — that’s in addition to the previous $1.2 million in renovations announced two weeks ago.
The festival site near Craven, Sask. has already seen 200,000 square feet of fresh sod, new washroom and shower facilities, an expanded food court and a fresh beer gardens entrance.
Krochak says things are falling into place nicely for this year’s show and the renos are jaw-dropping.
“With the entire picture now being complete has created perhaps the best outdoor concert facilities in North America,” said Krochak. “It’s right here in our province and I think our fans out here deserve it.”
Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Toby Keith and Terri Clark — just to name a few — will be among the first the play the new site.
Country Thunder takes over the Craven Valley starting July 13.
