The Regina Pats will start their 100th anniversary season September 22 in Brandon.
The WHL released its schedule for the 2017-18 season on Tuesday afternoon with that game being one of many on what will be the opening night of the year with the two teams back in Regina September 23 for Regina’s home opener.
The schedule is marked by two long road trips. One eight game trip is needed because of Agribition while another eight game trip will happen when the Brandt Centre is taken over by the Tim Hortons Brier.
Regina will play 9 of their first 13 games on home ice, and 10 of their last 13 on the road.
They will play a total of 17 games at home on either Friday or Saturday nights. The club will host five Sunday games and 12 on Wednesday’s.
In total, the Pats will play 18 Friday games, 19 on Saturday, 12 on Sunday, two Monday’s, three Tuesday’s, 17 Wednesday’s and one Thursday night game
