The Saskatchewan Roughriders started getting ready for Saturday’s home opener against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (7:00 pm, TSN, 620 CKRM Rider Radio Network) on Tuesday.
In his daily briefing with reporters, head coach and general manager Chris Jones told reporters receiver Ricky Collins will be out for a month with a shoulder injury suffered in the Week 1 loss to Montreal. Jones added Rob Bagg is not a certainty to go yet after missing the Alouettes game with an ankle injury.
Jones added the one point loss in Montreal was a difficult one to take. He said the club just needs to play smarter, schematically and penalty-wise. He said it’s tough to beat a high school team when you commit so many self-inflicted errors.
