Sasktel is in need of a new president and CEO.
The crown-owned phone company has announced Ron Styles is retiring effective the end of the month.
Styles has held the position since 2010.
In that time, SaskTel has opened a Tier III data centre – a world-class facility outfitted with cutting edge technology; built the largest Wi-Fi network available in Saskatchewan; extended fibre optics to more than 200,000 households; and completed the expansion of LTE across Saskatchewan making it the largest geographic continuous LTE network in Canada.
Styles will continue to provide advice and consultation to the government on matters relating to the telecommunications and information technology sectors.
Doug Burnett, currently Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Services, will assume the Acting President and CEO role effective July 1, 2017.
