One of the highest honours in the province is going to Chairman, President and CEO of The Hill Companies, Mr. Paul J. Hill.
Lieutenant Governor Vaughn Solomon Schofield will be handing out The Saskatchewan Order of Merit for 2017 to six recipients out of Regina, ten in total including Mr. Hill.
She said The Order of Merit is given to those who exemplify excellence, generosity and leadership and also exemplifies what it means to be a Canadian
Mr. Hill who also owns Harvard Broadcasting, was quick to thank those he works with for helping him receive the honour when speaking with 620 CKRM.
“Clearly I’m greatly honoured to be recognized in this fashion, but I really credit all the great people that I work with because they are the ones who really make things happen and I wouldn’t be receiving this without them,” Hill said.
Hill also said it was nice to receive the honour during Canada’s 150th year.
“Clearly Canada 150 is a special year in our history, I mean it is only a small portion of our total history because the Indigenous people have been here for a longer period of time than we have been, but we have a great country, we have the greatest country in the world we have freedoms and diversity second to none,” Hill added
Hill was also a recipient of The Order of Canada.
