27-year old Daniel Scott now faces additional charges after he was first charged with kidnapping, robbery and various firearms offences.
The initial charges stem from an incident on June 24th where a man was kidnapped, driven out of town and left there.
The victim managed to get to a phone and call for help.
On Thursday, while Scott was awaiting his court appearance, he was mistakenly released from the court house.
Regina Police Service immediately began to search for Scott and was eventually located in North Central where plain clothes officers observed him enter into a home.
Scott was charged with the additional charges of Obstruction of Peace Officer and Escape Lawful Custody.
