Linus Kaysaywaysemat was bitten by a police dog while sitting on his porch
Regina Police are conducting a review after two innocent people were bitten by police dogs who were on the job.
One incident occurred during a training exercise and the other during an on-going investigation.
Superintendent Darcy Koch said while concerning, they first need to make sure all their standards and practices were in use at the time of the incidents before they go any further.
“We’re definitely going to review what happened out there and get all the information around what happened and ensure that our standard operating procedures were in place and that we were operating with in those procedures and then make any corrections that may come with that,” Koch told reporters on Tuesday.
Koch added it was two different dogs that bit the individuals.
Both dogs remain in service at this time.
Regina Police have attempted to contact both of the individuals, but were only successful reaching one at this time.
More to come.
