A massive equipment move will take place Wednesday and Thursday beginning on Highway 7 near Saskatoon
A large piece of equipment – a crystallizer (12 metres high and weighing nearly 500,000 kg) will be moved from Saskatoon to the K+S Legacy site over the next two days.
The travel route begins from Saskatoon to Delisle on Highway 7. It travels to Outlook along Highway 45, to Kenaston on Highway 15.
On Day Two it, goes to Bethune on Highway 11 where it will end up at the K+S Legacy Site.
The load left Saskatoon around 5:00 A.M. Wednesday morning and it’s going to arrive in Outlook via Highways 7, 45 and 15 around noon Wednesday.
On Day Two, the team will leave Outlook at about 5:00 am and arrive at the mine about noon Thursday.
SaskPower says it has been working with highways officials to minimize the impact on traffic.
No major planned outages are required despite having to move some power lines out of the way as it travels.
