The Saskatchewan NDP is suggesting the Sask Party is refusing to stand up for nearly 175 Sears employees across the province soon to be out of a job.
Interim Opposition Leader Nicole Sarauer says the issue should be one taken up by those in charge, but they’re suddenly silent.
“We have a premier, and the SaskParty who seem to have no problem chasing after headlines,” Sarauer said. “They are noticeably silent on this issue.”
Sarauer adds the refusal to act is just “another example of the Sask Party abandoning families they’re supposed to be working for.”
