One man has made a court appearance, while another was rushed to hospital after RCMP received an assault complaint Friday in Big River.
The incident happened on July 14th, around 3:00 A.M. at the Big River First Nation.
When police arrived, they located an injured 27-year-old man who was transported by EMS to Shellbrook Hospital, then moved to hospital in Saskatoon for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Big River RCMP arrested 26-year old Dallas Whitefish from the Big River First Nation charging him with Aggravated Assault.
Whitefish made his first court appearance on Monday in Prince Albert.
The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Prince Albert RCMP General Investigation and RCMP Major Crime Unit North.
