The man who randomly choked a 28-year-old woman unconscious , before raping her in a downtown Regina alley in May of 2015, will spend the next nine years in jail.
Kenton Desjarlais, who is also HIV positive, was sentenced in a Regina courtroom on Monday.
Desjarlais followed the woman, who was walking home late one night into the alley where he harassed her before the violent attack.
