It’s a first for Regina.
A magic festival known as “ReginaCadabra” began Wednesday night in Victoria Park and runs for the rest of the week.
10 different Canadian magicians will be featured including Shawn Farquhar who says getting people introduced or re-introduced to the world of magic is the theme behind the event.
The idea for the festival came from a Regina man who won a contest put on by the Regina Hotel Association in what was a Dragons-Den type of competition.
On Saturday, a gala called “Smoke and Mirrors” will take place at Casino Regina.
10 dollars from all tickets sold will go to the Canadian Red Cross to aid those displaced by the wildfires in B.C.
